Road Closure: West Fifth Street, Oak Avenue to Schmidt Avenue
By Tom Turchi
Marshfield City Engineer
MARSHFIELD – On Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 4:30-8 p.m., West Fifth Street from Oak Avenue to Schmidt Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic for trick or treating.
The following streets will be closed at Fifth Street: Hardacre Avenue, Wisconsin Avenue, Adams Avenue, Drake Avenue, and
Columbus Avenue.
Due to the number of children who trick or treat in this area, we anticipate that the side streets noted will be difficult to park on and alternate side parking on ditched streets will be enforced. On ditched streets during the month of October, vehicles are required to park on the even side of the street, west and south sides.
Please note, no parking will be allowed on Fifth Street within the road closure limits. It is recommended that patrons of this area use the parking lots at the following locations:
• SJ Miller Park
• Our Lady of Peace parking lot behind the church
We encourage all motorists to take extreme care throughout the city as there will be many children out trick or treating.
Road Closures can be found on the city’s website at www.ci.marshfield.wi.us.
