MARSHFIELD — Professional career website Zippia has ranked Marshfield 10th in a listing of the state’s most successful cities.
The list was based on findings from the 2010-2014 American Community Survey (ACS), which is conducted every year through the United States Census Bureau to provide information about the social and economic needs of communities. The ACS shows how people live, education level, housing, jobs available, and other socioeconomic information.
“We analyzed every city in Wisconsin for poverty level, median household income, and unemployment rate to rank the most successful cities,” explained Drew Walters, Zippia marketing associate.
Using the data collected from 141 Wisconsin communities with populations over 5,000, Marshfield landed in the top 10 behind Rhinelander, Marinette, Antigo, Prairie Du Chien, Waupaca, Tomah, Rice Lake, Altoona, and Ashwaubenon.
