Book World to close all locations
Inventory liquidation begins at 45 locations in seven states

APPLETON — Book World recently announced that beginning Nov. 2, a liquidation sale will begin at each Book World store location, which will run until all inventory is sold.
The national shift in the retail marketplace toward e-commerce has triggered the loss of vital mall anchor stores and a downward spiral in customer counts at Book World stores, reducing sales to a level that will no longer sustain business operations.
Book World has hired Yellen Partners to assist with the liquidation process. Yellen Partners is a family-run company that specializes in assisting in business closings and liquidation.
Book World has stores in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, North Dakota, and Missouri. Book World opened its first store in 1976 in Rhinelander and is currently the fourth-largest book store chain in the United States. A complete list of locations can be found at bookworldstores.com.
