Bernice N. Krall, 101, Auburndale, passed away on October 14, 2017 at The Waterford Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.
Bernice was born on January 24, 1916 in Richfield, Wisconsin, the youngest of 9 children to Edward and Emma (Pohl) Mielke. She graduated from Long School in Richfield, then worked in a cheese factory for several years. She married Peter Krall on August 8, 1938 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hewitt. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1998.
Bernice was a homemaker and farmer all of her married life. In later years she enjoyed working puzzles, going to garage sales and spending time with family.
She is survived by 3 children, Roselyn Krupa of Bettendorf, IA, Joyce (Robert) Matthies of Faribault, MN and Roger (Karen) Krall of Marshfield. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Steven Krupa of Fox River Grove, IL, Dawn (Troy) Tammen of Wisconsin Rapids, Connie Butterbrodt of Phoenix, AZ, Andrea (Craig) Burton of Madison, Melissa (Nate) Dorshorst of Lodi and Sara Krall of Madison. She is further survived by 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, 8 siblings and a son-in-law, Clyde Krupa.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a private celebration of her life will be held at a later date with Rev. Antony Arokiyam officiating. Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery in Hewitt. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
