James A. Brandl Sr.

James A. Brandl Sr., 81, Marshfield, died on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at his home in the Town of Cameron.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Deacon Ray Draeger officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time at Rembs Funeral Home.

James was born December 21, 1935 in Sherry, Wisconsin, to John A. and Angeline (Smazal) Brandl and attended Auburndale High School. He married Carole H. Hall on June 21, 1958 in Portage County.

Jim had been employed as an electrician at Marshfield Homes which later became Wick Building Systems, until his retirement. He had served as a board member for the Village of Arpin.

Jim is survived by his wife, Carole “Peppy” Brandl and their children, James (Gina) Brandl Jr. of Arpin, Joy (Mark) Korger of Marshfield, Judy Bendickson of Arpin, Jackie (Dennis) Crist of Arpin and Candy Brandl (Dennis Duerr) of Marshfield, and Sarah Olson (Johnee Brandl – deceased) of Arpin. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is further survived by sisters, Maryann “Annie” Konitzer of Marshfield, Donna (Jerry) David of Necedah, and June Schoening of Sheboygan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Johnee Brandl on March 24, 2017, a son-in-law, Tim Bendickson and sisters, Grace Hoffman and Violet Poeschel.
