Boon Brunette announces candidacy for Clark County judge

Lyndsey Boon Brunette, current Clark County Family Court Commissioner, has announced her candidacy for Clark County Circuit Court Judge.
Brunette stated, “I have been encouraged by local officials, community leaders, and Clark County residents to run to replace Judge Jon Counsell who has announced his non-candidacy for the 2018 Spring Election. I am grateful to have received such support in taking this next step in my legal career.”
Brunette is a Clark County native, graduating from Neillsville High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN.
As current Clark County Family Court Commissioner, Brunette acts as the court official making decisions on temporary orders and motions in divorce and family matters and handles stipulated divorce proceedings. She is also responsible for small claims cases, restraining order matters, reviewing warrants, and handling bail hearings on criminal matters amongst other duties.
Boon has also served as Clark County Corporation Counsel and Clark County District Attorney.
