Columbus, Spencer, Auburndale athletes place in Rosholt/Badger invite

MARSHFIELD – The Columbus Dons’ girls and boys track teams competed at the Rosholt/Badger Invitational April 6 at UW-Stevens Point. The Dons girls finished in 18th place with six points. Auburndale was fifth and Spencer was sixth, while Pittsville finished in 10th place.
Spencer’s Emily Wehrman finished in third place in the girls’ one-mile run, with a time of 6:24.67. Columbus sophomore Olivia Mahoney finished fifth in the girls’ 400-meter dash, with a time of 1:26.72.
Emmalee Jicinsky of Columbus was third in the triple jump, with a distance of 29’, 4”. Teammate Emilia Vlokova was sixth, with a jump of 27’, 2.25”. Spencer’s Kaylee Wehrman was seventh in that event, with a jump of 26’, 9.5”. Her teammate Faith Miller was 10th, with a distance of 25’, 4.25”.
In the girls’ long jump competition, Kaily Northup of Spencer finished third with a distance of 15’, 7.25”. Auburndale’s Amanda Momont was fourth at 15’, 2.25”. Jicinsky was second in her grouping for that event, with a jump of 13’, 6”. Vlokova was sixth at 12’, 3.5”.
Spencer’s Hannah Zastrow won the high jump with a leap of 5’. Her Spencer teammate Sabrina Vircks was sixth at a height of 4’, 10”. Auburndale’s Isabelle Hilber was ninth at 4’, 8”. Her teammate Victoria Hasenorhl finished in fourth place in the girls’ 1,600-meter run, with a time of 6:26.09. Their Apache teammate Emmie Richardson was 8th at 7:03.63. Columbus Junior Melanie Lang was 11th in that event with a time of 7:16.07. Her Dons’ teammate Greta Schiferl was 15th with a time of 8:42.26.
Columbus finished in fourth place in the 800-meter relay with a time of 2:30.88. Columbus sophomore Ashley Dean finished 12th in the girls’ 3,200-meter run with a time of 16:37.55. Kaylee Wehrman of Spencer took second place in the 800-meter run with a time of 3:06.86.
In the boys’ competition, Columbus senior Jeremiah Giles won the triple jump at 36’, 1.75”. Pittsville’s Trayson Ortner was third at 34’, 2”. Giles also won the boys’ 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.89. Columbus freshman Orion Smith was seventh at 2:51.11. Giles placed second in the long jump competition, with a distance of 17’, 3”. His Dons’ teammate Max McGiveron was fifth at 14’, 3.25”.
Columbus sophomore Coleton Grambsch was third in the 400-meter dash, with a time of 1:15.25.
