Letter to the Editor: Readers say council places dogs above people in need
We found out something this week that we just couldn’t believe. If you live in Marshfield, it’s better to be a dog in need than a person in need.
Some time ago, the common council voted to help financially with the pet shelter, but on March 27 the council denied helping children, women, and men in need.
How can we be more sympathetic to dogs than our own friends and neighbors? It seems we have turned our thinking upside down. It’s a sad time in Marshfield.
