Mayor seeks residents interested in Utility Commission

MARSHFIELD – The city of Marshfield municipal code provides that the five-member Utility Commission is elected by the Marshfield Common Council. The commissioners serve staggered five-year terms.
Mayor Bob McManus asks that any residents of the city of Marshfield interested in serving as a commissioner on the Utility Commission submit a letter stating his/her qualifications and reasons for wanting to serve on the board to the Mayor’s Office; this letter must be received by 5 p.m. on Sept. 4.
The names of the interested persons will be presented to the common council at its Sept. 11 meeting. The council will elect one person to the five-member board at its Sept. 25 meeting.
