MARSHFIELD – A benefit account has been opened for a Loyal family that lost four members after their kayak capsized off the Shore of Michigan Island.
Cari A. Mews, 29, was the sole survivor following the accident which left Erik D. Fryman, 39, and their children Kyra, 9, Annaliese, 5, and Jansen, 3, dead. Officials said that hypothermia may have played a major role and all family members wore a life jacket.
Funeral services are being planned for Sept. 8 at Loyal High School at 1 p.m., with visitations beginning at 10 a.m.
Donations may be made in the family’s name at Partners Bank in Spencer or Marshfield.
