Traveling Vietnam War memorial wall comes to Spencer
For the Hub City Times
SPENCER – Though the Vietnam War ended more than 40 years ago, it has left a lasting impression on those who lived through the conflict or who served in the war. During the week of Sept. 24-28, the Marathon County Public Library will host the unique Vietnam War traveling wall at its Spencer Branch, 105 S. Park St., Spencer.
This traveling Vietnam War memorial wall features the photos of Wisconsin veterans killed in the line of duty during the Vietnam War. An opening ceremony will be held for the wall at 6 p.m. on Sept. 24. During the rest of the week, folks can stop in to the branch any time it is open to view the wall. This exhibit is provided courtesy of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison.
