Letter to the Editor: Marshfield residents support Rulka as write in
Dear editor,
The beauty of democracy is finding a compromise within a multitude of opinions. In today’s politics it seems that compromise is completely out of the question. The best government is the one that is closest to the people, where the people have input. It is also important to have a choice for every position on the ballot. It is more difficult, especially in this neck of the woods, to challenge an incumbent who says the right things during election time but votes only the party line. There is no compromise in that and Central Wisconsin is rarely given a second thought during the process. As a loyal member of the Walker team, Bob Kulp has been little more than a yes man for the elites that control the state government. We need representation of our needs at the state level, not just lip service and party line votes.
We have a chance to change that! An extraordinary woman has offered us that choice! An incredible woman whose greatest strength is her big heart and love of the whole community. Kathleen Rulka has the energy, grit and enthusiasm to listen to, work with, and respond her constituent’s needs in a prompt and courteous manner. We need to have our voices heard in Madison, not as Democrat or Republican but as citizens of Central Wisconsin and the 69th Assembly District specifically. If we are not heard we will soon be forgotten. Kathleen will make sure our needs are represented.
Kathleen is keenly focused on the wellbeing of all people, but especially those in need. She understands that life is not always fair and that people should be able to pick themselves up with dignity when things go wrong. Leaving them to struggle unnecessarily does not fit within her values of kindness and compassion. A helping hand is all some need and Kathleen has helped so many in her work that it is second nature for her. She will give a voice to the issues that face our area and will not ignore the plight of our family farmers during this time of tariffs and trade wars. She will not stand down as long as Wisconsin and the 69th District are in need of common sense solutions to our problems. We are all in this together and if we continue to be divided we will most certainly fall together.
Please stand with us in voting for, by writing in, Kathleen Rulka (spelling counts) for 69th Assembly District. Everyone should have a voice!
