Marshfield man facing charges for vehicle theft

MARSHFIELD – An 18-year-old Marshfield man is facing theft charges after taking a Marshfield man’s vehicle.
On Nov. 21, a 50-year-old Marshfield man called Marshfield police to report that his vehicle had been stolen outside his place of employment, on the 100 block of Fifth Street in Marshfield.
Police were able to determine the vehicle’s location in Milwaukee, using the U-Connect system in the vehicle.
Milwaukee police located the vehicle, and after a pursuit, an 18-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody.
The truck was returned to the owner; however, a Trek fat-tire bicycle that was in the back of the truck was not found.
Charges of theft and operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s office.
