Man arrested for probation violation
At 3:20 p.m., a Marshfield man called police to report that his son, a 39-year-old Marshfield man, was intoxicated, thus breaking his probation. The man was taken to the local hospital for medical clearance before being transported to the Wood County Jail.
Woman requests help after too much alcohol
At 11:12 a.m., a 60-year-old woman called Marshfield EMS after consuming too much alcohol in the past 16 hours. She was unable to walk and needed assistance. The woman was transferred to the local hospital.
Vehicle damage in bar parking lot
At 2:55 p.m., a Marshfield man reported minor damage to his vehicle in the license plate area, while at a local bar. Police spoke with other bar patrons and found that no one witnessed anything and the vehicles in the parking lot were all there prior to the Marshfield man’s arrival. No suspects at this time.
High school student threatens another student
At 1:01 p.m., a 17-year-old female reported that, while driving through the zoo, a 17-year-old Marshfield female started yelling things from another vehicle and even threw something at her car. She was then followed back to a school, where the disorderly 17-year-old yelled a threat at her. The school’s principal came out and diffused the situation. The 17-year-old Marshfield woman was issued a citation for disorderly conduct via mail, after unsuccessful attempts contacting the girl and her mother.
Woman attacked by dogs
At 12:20 p.m., Marshfield EMS and Police were called to a city of Marshfield location where a female was found on the sidewalk after being attacked by two dogs. The owner of the dogs was located and is in the process of getting vaccination records to provide for officers.
Officer spots wanted man
At 2:31 p.m., a Marshfield Police officer noticed a 50-year-old Marshfield man with a known warrant, walking into a Marshfield gas station. The officer followed the man into the gas station and observed the man with a crystal-rock like substance. The man quickly tried to hide the item. The man was taken into custody for the outstanding warrant and charges of possession of methamphetamine.
Juvenile stole items from church
At 5:49 p.m., it was reported that an unidentified juvenile broke in to a Marshfield Church and stole a microphone and two pyx. A pyx, is a small container used to carry the Eucharist to the sick or someone unable to come to church to receive Holy Communion. A safe in the church was also damaged during this theft. Investigation is ongoing.
Officer spots shifty situation
At 11:47 p.m., a Marshfield Police officer noticed a pickup truck pulled up next to a semi in a department store parking lot. The pickup then left the area and went to a nearby gas station. The officer ran the plates; it showed that the owner of the truck had an outstanding warrant. After properly identifying the man, the officer placed the man under arrested for the warrant. The man was able to post bond and was released.
