Fuerlinger is all state selection

MARSHFIELD – More recognition for the Columbus Dons boys basketball team, as senior Bryce Fuerlinger has been named as a first-team member of the Division 5 all-state team for this season.
Fuerlinger is the only member of the Dons to make the team, after Columbus finished as the D-5 state runner-up in state tournament. Fuerlinger stepped into a much bigger role as a senior, increasing his scoring output ten per game to 16.1. He was also huge on the boards, grabbing 13.6 rebounds per game, including a new Division 5 state tournament record 34 in two games in Madison as the Dons finished as state runners-up.
He broke former Badger Sam Dekker’s previous state tournament rebounding record of 29 set in 2012 when Dekker’s Sheboygan Lutheran team barely won the state title on a last-second desperation three pointer by Dekker.
