Man flees Marshfield officers following crash

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Police are on the lookout for a man who escaped apprehension after crashing a vehicle into a school fence.
On March 28 at 9:24 p.m., Marshfield officers attempted to stop a vehicle which had run a red light at the Doege Street and North Central Avenue intersection. The vehicle accelerated significantly and turned north on North Walnut Avenue, then drove at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle eventually crashed and rolled into a fence at Grant Elementary School. A 28-year-old Marshfield male was arrested at the scene of the crash. A second man fled the scene and has yet to be apprehended.
The investigation is ongoing.
