Theft
On June 29 at 3:35 p.m. an employee of a Marshfield department store reported that a 40-year-old Marshfield male had attempted to steal some items from the store. The subject had concealed items in his pockets before attempting to walk past the point of payment. The male, who had a no trespassing order from the store, was cited for retail theft less than a year ago and was taken into custody.
July 5, 2019
Don’t do drugs kids
On July 5 at 10:39 p.m. a Marshfield female requested medical attention for a 35-year-old Marshfield man who was reportedly unable to regulate his body temperature and acting strange. Upon arrival, officers found the subject nude and hallucinating. Drug related items were located in the residence and the man was taken to the Emergency Room.

Arboreal problems
On July 7 at 8:42 p.m. a Marshfield male reported that over the past few months, he had noticed that wood had been stolen from the stack of firewood behind his garage. The victim named his neighbor as the suspect, stating that he had seen pieces of wood identical to his in the neighbor’s fire pit. The neighbor was contacted and stated that she held a lot of backyard fires and that it was possible that her guests had taken the wood without permission. The neighbor was apologetic and promised to prevent her guests from taking the firewood in the future.

Disturbance
On July 8 at 10:21 a.m. it was reported that there was a 38-year-old Marshfield male who had caused a disturbance at a parole and probation office before leaving the scene. The subject was found on East Fourth Street and South Cedar Avenue in Marshfield. Upon contact with police, the man began yelling and resisting arrest. The male was taken to Wood County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.
