November 5
Be careful what you leave behind
At 10:32 a.m., a Marshfield landlord called police after cleaning out an apartment he owns. He reported finding green plant material and a glass smoking device. There was also a USPS package that he thought may contain drug related items. All items were turned over to police. Police then contacted the previous tenant, a 38-year-old Marshfield man, who admitted the items were his. He was cited for possession.
Packer ticket scam
At 5:32 p.m., a 57-year-old Marshfield man reported that he had found four Green Bay Packer tickets for sale on Craigslist. He contacted the seller and made arrangements for payment. The Marshfield man was instructed to purchase two $200 EBay gift cards and send the gift card information to the seller. In return, the tickets would be mailed to the Marshfield man. He never received the tickets and all attempts to contact the seller have gone unanswered. PayPal will not provide a refund, and he was advised to contact EBay for a refund.
November 8
Romantic gesture taken away
At 12:23 p.m., a 29-year-old Marshfield woman reported the theft of a package from in front of her apartment door. Her boyfriend had sent her a gift as a surprise and it was delivered to her door according to the shipping company’s tracker. A neighbor had seen someone leaving the apartment building shortly after the package was stamped as delivered. It is uncertain if that person took the package.
November 9
Money taken from bank account
At 1:41 p.m., a 63-year-old Marshfield woman contacted police after noticing since Dec. 21, 2016, someone had withdrawn almost $3,000 worth of money from her bank account without permission. The investigation is ongoing.
November 10
Woman caught switching tags
An employee of a Marshfield department store called police after noticing a 52-year-old Pittsville woman switching price tags on items, which in turn was misrepresenting the price of items at checkout. The woman was taken into custody and released. Retail theft charges will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.
Woman reports fight, gets arrested
At 9:25 p.m., a 30-year-old Marshfield woman called police regarding a physical fight that was happening between herself, a 27-year-old Marshfield woman, and a 19-year-old Marshfield woman. Police arrived and after a short investigation arrested all three women for different charges including battery, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and bail jumping.
