The Marshfield High School Ocean Sciences Bowl team won the Lake Sturgeon Bowl Regional of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl on Saturday, Feb.1. The event was held at the UW-School of Freshwater Sciences in Milwaukee. As part of the winning prize, the students will spend time this summer on the research vessel, the R/V Neeskay gathering samples from Lake Michigan, and later will work side by side with top freshwater scientists and researchers in their laboratories. The team will compete against the eighteen other regional winners from across the country for the national title May 17-18 via a head-head virtual Zoom competition.
